Notepad. Hmmm. if i try other extension, will it work/

My answer is a BIG YES! Here’s the secrets:

.HTM OR HTML – WEBPAGE
.SYS -  SYSTEM FILE
.DLL – APPLICATION EXTENSION
.JPG – PICTURE
.BMP – BITMAP ETC

Master and Slave Settings

September 6, 2008

In BIOS, you can see all hardware settings needed to a certain unit to make it functionable. Master and Slave Properties of the devices are so important to the hard disk and IDE’s.

You will need to shutdown first your PC before you connect a hard disk to your IDE’s. Unable to do so will make your veins in shock! In short… makukuryente ka! LOL! Once you plug it in, follow the proceeding procedures.

  • The black is the master. The master means that this the first one read by the pc once it starts.
  • The grey one is the slave. Meaning, it is the secondary IDE Channel that can be read as removable device only.
  • While the blue one must be plug into the motherboard slot to generate some BIOS Settings pertaining to this IDE’s.

The IDE next slot in a CD-ROM is its power connector. You need the power to make device readable.

BIOS Settings: Phoenix brand

You can set the Boot Priority of the hard drives by using the BIOS.

  1. Open your PC. Press Delete key many times.
  2. Go to Advanced BIOS Features.
  3. Select Hard Disk Priority and press Enter
  4. Select the brand you want to master or slave.
  5. Esc thrice.
